Special Needs or Health Matters: Please note you need to be physically fit enough to step up or down 60cm. Our seats are “jockey” style and passengers must be able to sit comfortably in these seats for the duration of the trip. If you or your group has special requirements then please tell us in advance. We will endeavor to enable you or your group to have an enjoyable activity.
People with a history of back problems or who are pregnant are not advised to partake in an Ocean Escapes RIB tour or private charter.
Phone number
A mobile phone number must be provided, so that we are able to contact you on the day of your tour, in case of changes or cancellations. Otherwise a contact number and room number of where you are staying if visiting Cork.
Children
Ocean Escapes have a minimum age limit of 8 years for RIB tours, it is at the parents or guardians discretion whether or not a child is suitable to travel. The following must be considered – duration of the trip, temperature, lack of toilet etc.
Photography
From time to time Ocean Escapes or other authorised parties will carry out photography and/or video recording and/or other monitoring on or in the vicinity of the vessel which may feature visitors. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that Ocean Escapes or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with Ocean Escapes or such authorised party (as the case may be).
Ocean Escapes allow customers to take their own photography from their seats. We are not liable for any damage to equipment during this operation. Where customers request our employee to use their camera/recording equipment Ocean Escapes will not be liable for any damage incurred as a result.
Payment: Bookings must be paid in full within 14 days of your reservation. Refunds are not possible if you cancel less than seven working days before the start of the event. Cancellation must be in writing.
Booking confirmation
No booking can be confirmed, until Ocean Escapes has received full payment together with the booking details of clients, and we have informed you that your chosen dates are available.
Cancellation by Ocean Escapes
We reserve the right to cancel a tour or charter due to adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control. If we cannot offer a suitable alternative date or trip a full refund will be given if payment has been made upfront. Please provide email and phone numbers.
Cancellation by you Public Sailings
Bookings cancelled more than 7 days before your trip will receive a refund of any deposit or payment already. Refunds are not possible cancelling less then 7 days before your trip, cancellation 4 – 6 days before will receive a credit note whilst cancellations 3 days prior will lose their booking.
Cancellation by you Private Charters
Bookings canceled over a month before your charter you will receive a full refund. Bookings canceled between 14 days and a month before your charter will receive a refund less the 30% deposit paid. Refunds are not possible canceling less then 14 days before the date of your charter, cancellation within 14 days before the charter will lose their booking.
Personal belongings
Ocean Escapes cannot be held responsible for personal belongings and equipment while on a trip or charter.
Late arrivals
We cannot wait for late arrivals as this creates difficulties for other customers. Allow time to park especially at weekends. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time.
If you are late you will be treated as a no show. Payments will not be refunded.
