Cork is home to spectacular scenery, award-winning attractions and famously the last point of departure for the RMS Titanic. Our “Public Sailing” trips takes you from the historic town of Cobh or the picturesque village of Crosshaven. Before your trip you will have time to “meet your skipper” where they will share stories and get you ready for an experience you’ll never forget. Along the way, there is stunning scenery to be admired and the possibility of spotting seals, dolphins, gannets, basking sharks not to mention minke and humpback whales.
Top Tip: After your trip why not indulge in some of the freshest seafood plucked straight from the purest waters or enjoy a cool refreshing drink overlooking the harbour.

Ocean Escapes operates its “Public Sailings” most weekends in June, July, August and September but these do get booked out very fast.

Our public sailing is ideal for anyone who wishes to join other travelers to experience a once in a lifetime adventure. Follow in the wake of the legendary Titanic and follow the same route the passengers would have made to the ships anchorage at Roches Point Lighthouse. Onboard our boats you will experience stunning views, salty spray and the freshest of sea air as you take it all in.
Our Public Sailings take in the Lower Harbour and beyond. Keep Discovering Cork with sights such as Spike Island, Roches Point, Numerous coastal fortifications, Stunning coastline along with the worlds oldest yacht club to name a few.
Our Public Trips are ideal if you are looking to explore Cork Harbour and beyond. Trips depart from the beautiful town of Crosshaven and the historical town of Cobh.

Parking in Cork City is pay & display or there are a number of private car parks near our departure point. There are two free carparks located in Cobh or there is paid on street parking available. Parking in Crosshaven is free of charge.
Toilets are located at all arrival points however there is limited access in Cork City.
Ocean Escapes stops at a number of locations during these trips which will be arranged prior to departure & subject to availability. If you are out on an extended trip and wish to have a meal, we advise you book this in advance.
You will be required to step down into some of our boats which can be up to 60cm. We do not recommend our trips for anybody with a pre-existing back condition or for pregnant women.
Given the high speed nature of our trips we recommend a lower age limit of 8 years. This is at the discretion of the parent or guardian.

You can travel on a short 28min scenic train journey from Cork City to Cobh. The train departs from Kent train station and runs to Cobh.
